My name is Donovan Edward (my fatherÕs and grandfatherÕs name) Reed and I was born on the morning of August 25, 1987. I have been blessed to have grown up with two Christian parents who brought me up with a perspective of who God really is and not the perspective of Church being something Òwe just doÓ. When I was six years of age I was baptized in the Baptist church we had attended in my early years. My family attended the Baptist church until I was about twelve years of age when we had made the family decision to attend an Assemblies of God Church in the town over. From there I was plugged into a youth group that was alive and for the first time I knew what it meant to be Òon fire for GodÓ. Throughout my early years I had excelled in athletics such as baseball, basketball and soccer. I had set records for being the youngest player to have ever played American Legion Baseball when I was eleven playing on a thirteen year-old team. Throughout high school I focused on baseball regardless of my injuries and had many successful seasons. I received my calling in my Junior year of high school and GodÕs direction led me to VFCC due to the amount of colleges that closed up to me. This brings me to today where I am a student at Valley Forge Christian College with my focus study being pastoral ministry.
